However, after that the game again took around two minutes to load into the main menu. After about two minutes, the Lucasarts and Obsidian logos appeared and then the loading screen for the main menu appeared, as normal. If I clicked anywhere on the screen or anywhere else, the game would then say that it was no longer responding and I would be forced to close the empty window. This time, instead of immedietally going to the Lucasarts and Obsidian logos, the game just sat open at a black screen for about two minutes.

However, I just installed the latest Windows 10 update today and tried to start up KOTOR II again. I could load into the game in about a minute, and it ran fine and I was having fun and hadn't encountered any hiccups or anything like that. Nevertheless, with those two details explained, the game had been running perfectly fine. I have also installed the 1.8.5 version of the TSLRCM (the latest version), so that may or may not be important. After I did that, however, everything was running smoothly.

I had to enable windowed mode so that the game could run without crashing right before the main menu and after every movie style cutscene. So I have been happily playing KOTOR II for a decent amount of time, a bit more than halfway through I think.
